Little Chef is operated by BBR Agency Pty Ltd (ABN 93 121 083 805) ("Little Chef", "we", "us" or "our").

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information we collect and hold.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information when you visit the Little Chef website at https://www.little-chef.com.au/ (the "Website"), make a booking, participate in a Little Chef class, or otherwise interact with us in connection with the Little Chef program.

We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), where those obligations apply to us.

1. What personal information do we collect?

Depending on how you interact with Little Chef, we may collect and hold the following information.

Parent or guardian information:

• Full name
• Email address
• Telephone or mobile number
• Booking details
• Class or session selected
• Information relating to communications and interactions with us

Child information:

• Child's name
• Child's age
• Class or session selected
• Dietary requirements or allergies
• Information reasonably necessary to safely administer the class
• Photography and media consent status

Photography and media: We may collect information about whether a parent or guardian has provided consent for photography or other media involving their child. Where consent is provided, photographs and other media may be captured during Little Chef classes and used for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Technical information: The Website is hosted by WP Engine and operates using a WordPress backend. As part of the ordinary operation, security and hosting of the Website, certain technical information may be processed, including information such as IP address, browser type, device information and information relating to interactions with the Website.

Little Chef does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising tracking tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel or similar advertising trackers.

2. How do we collect personal information?

We generally collect personal information directly from you.

For example, we collect information when you:

• Visit or interact with the Website;
• Complete a Little Chef booking;
• Make a booking for a child;
• Provide dietary or allergy information;
• Provide photography or media consent;
• Opt in to receive marketing communications;
• Contact us about a booking or class; or
• Otherwise communicate with us in relation to Little Chef.

Bookings are made through the Little Chef Website using a dedicated booking plugin developed specifically for Little Chef.

Where information about a child is required for a booking, we expect that information to be provided by the child's parent or legal guardian.

We do not knowingly collect unnecessary personal information directly from children.

3. Why do we collect personal information?

We collect and use personal information for purposes including:

• Processing and managing Little Chef bookings;
• Sending booking confirmations and essential information relating to a booking;
• Communicating with parents or guardians about bookings;
• Managing attendance and class capacity;
• Understanding dietary requirements and allergies relevant to participation in a class;
• Safely administering and delivering Little Chef classes;
• Managing photography and media permissions;
• Responding to enquiries;
• Managing and improving the Little Chef Website and booking experience;
• Sending marketing communications where you have provided the required consent;
• Communicating relevant information about Little Chef and related Darling Quarter activities where permitted;
• Maintaining our booking and communications database;
• Managing the security and functionality of the Website;
• Meeting our legal, accounting, insurance and other regulatory obligations; and
• Other purposes that you would reasonably expect or that are otherwise permitted or required by law.

We will not use personal information for a materially different purpose that would be inconsistent with the purpose for which it was collected, unless permitted or required by law or with appropriate consent.

4. Dietary requirements and allergies

The Little Chef booking process may ask for information about dietary requirements and allergies because this information can be relevant to a child's safe participation in a cooking class.

Depending on the information provided, information about allergies or other health-related matters may constitute sensitive information under Australian privacy law.

We will only collect this information where it is reasonably necessary for the safe administration and delivery of the class and, where required by law, with appropriate consent.

We recommend that parents and guardians provide only information that is necessary for the class operator to understand and manage the child's dietary or allergy requirements.

Where reasonably necessary, relevant allergy or dietary information may be made available to the people directly involved in delivering the particular Little Chef class, including the relevant Darling Quarter retailer, external operator, chef or instructor.

This access is limited to what is reasonably necessary to safely administer the class.

5. Information about children

Little Chef is designed for children aged 6–12.

We recognise that information relating to children requires particular care.

Bookings and the provision of information about a child should be made by a parent or legal guardian.

We only seek to collect information about a child that is reasonably necessary for purposes such as:

• Administering the booking;
• Managing attendance;
• Delivering the class safely;
• Managing dietary or allergy requirements; and
• Managing photography and media consent.

We do not knowingly seek to collect unnecessary personal information directly from children.

6. Photography and media

Photography and media consent is separate from the booking itself.

A parent or legal guardian may be asked to provide an affirmative consent or refusal regarding photography and media involving their child.

Providing photography consent is not a condition of booking or participation in a Little Chef class.

Where consent is provided, photographs or other media containing a child may be captured during a Little Chef class and used for promotional, marketing and communications purposes associated with Little Chef and Darling Quarter.

Photography and related creative assets are managed by BBR Agency Pty Ltd on behalf of Darling Quarter.

Subject to the consent provided, these assets may be used for:

• The Little Chef Website;
• Little Chef social media;
• Darling Quarter and JLL marketing and communications;
• BBR Agency marketing and communications; and
• Other promotional purposes associated with Little Chef and Darling Quarter.

If you have provided photography consent and subsequently wish to withdraw that consent for future use, please contact us at contact@bbr-agency.com.

Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any use that occurred before consent was withdrawn.

7. Marketing communications

We may maintain a database containing contact information for people who have interacted with Little Chef.

We will only send commercial electronic marketing communications where we have the consent required under applicable law or another lawful basis for sending those communications.

Where marketing consent is requested through the booking process, it should be presented separately from the acceptance of the booking terms and should not be pre-selected.

Marketing communications may relate to:

• Little Chef;
• Upcoming Little Chef classes and experiences;
• Related Darling Quarter events and activities; and
• Other relevant experiences or communications associated with Little Chef or Darling Quarter.

Where required, we will maintain records of marketing consent, including the relevant contact details, date and method of consent.

Every commercial marketing email will include a clear and functional way to unsubscribe.

You may withdraw your consent to receive marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in the communication or by contacting us at contact@bbr-agency.com.

We will process unsubscribe requests within the time required by applicable law.

Withdrawal of marketing consent will not affect your ability to make or maintain a Little Chef booking.

8. Who may access personal information?

Personal information is primarily used and managed by BBR Agency Pty Ltd in administering the Little Chef program.

Where reasonably necessary, relevant personal information may be accessed by people directly involved in operating and delivering a particular Little Chef class, including:

• BBR Agency Pty Ltd staff;
• The relevant Darling Quarter retailer operating the class;
• External operators engaged to deliver a Little Chef class;
• Chefs, instructors or class facilitators; and
• Other personnel directly involved in safely administering the class.

Access will be limited to information reasonably necessary for the relevant person's role.

For example, an operator may need access to a child's name and relevant dietary or allergy information to safely deliver a booked class.

We do not sell personal information.

We do not disclose personal information to unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

9. Technology and service providers

Little Chef uses technology service providers to operate the Website, booking system and email communications.

Website hosting: The Website is hosted by WP Engine and uses a WordPress backend. WP Engine provides hosting and infrastructure services necessary to operate, maintain and secure the Website.

Booking system: Bookings are processed through a dedicated booking plugin developed specifically for Little Chef and integrated into the Website. The booking system is used to collect and manage information required to administer Little Chef bookings.

Email communications: Little Chef uses Resend as its SMTP/email delivery service. Resend processes information necessary to deliver emails sent through the Little Chef Website, including booking confirmations and other relevant communications.

These service providers process information for the purpose of providing services to Little Chef and are not authorised to use Little Chef personal information for their own independent marketing purposes.

10. Overseas processing

Some technology service providers used to operate the Little Chef Website, booking system and communications infrastructure may process or store information outside Australia.

This may include service providers such as our website hosting and email delivery providers.

Where personal information is disclosed to an overseas recipient, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the information is handled in accordance with applicable Australian privacy law.

Where required by law, we will identify relevant overseas recipients or countries in which personal information is likely to be processed or stored.

11. Cookies and tracking

The Little Chef Website does not currently use third-party analytics or advertising tracking tools such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel.

The Website may nevertheless use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for its normal operation, security, booking functionality or other technical purposes.

You can generally manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Website or booking system.

If we introduce analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies in the future, we will review and, where necessary, update this Privacy Policy and any relevant collection notices.

12. How do we hold and protect personal information?

Personal information is held using systems and service providers appropriate to the operation of the Little Chef program.

The Website and booking system are hosted using WP Engine and the Website operates through WordPress.

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from:

• Misuse;
• Interference;
• Loss;
• Unauthorised access;
• Unauthorised modification; and
• Unauthorised disclosure.

These measures may include appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards.

Access to personal information is limited according to operational requirements.

However, no method of transmitting or storing information electronically can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

13. Data breaches

BBR Agency Pty Ltd maintains procedures for responding to suspected or actual personal information security incidents.

If we become aware of an eligible data breach involving personal information we hold, we will assess and respond to the incident in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and other applicable legal requirements.

Where notification is legally required, we will notify affected individuals and/or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.

14. How long do we keep personal information?

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including administering bookings, maintaining appropriate business and financial records, managing communications and meeting our legal, insurance and operational obligations.

As a general approach, booking and participant information will be retained for the duration of the Little Chef program and for a reasonable period afterwards to allow us to meet our legal, accounting, insurance, dispute-resolution and business record-keeping obligations.

Marketing and communications information may be retained while you remain subscribed to relevant communications, subject to any information we are required or permitted to retain for other purposes.

Photography and media assets may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which consent was provided, subject to any withdrawal of consent and our legal or operational obligations.

When personal information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.

15. Accessing and correcting your information

You may request access to personal information we hold about you.

You may also ask us to correct personal information if you believe it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading.
