Little Chef 2026
Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to Little Chef 2026, a free, ticketed children's cooking experience presented at Darling Quarter, Sydney, from 3 October to 11 October 2026.
Little Chef is operated by BBR Agency Pty Ltd (ABN 93 121 083 805) on behalf of Darling Quarter.
By making a booking for Little Chef, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you make a booking on behalf of a child, you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you have the authority of the child's parent or legal guardian to make the booking and accept these Terms & Conditions on their behalf.
These Terms & Conditions should be read together with the Little Chef Privacy Policy and any specific instructions or conditions provided by Little Chef, Darling Quarter or the relevant class operator.
1. DEFINITIONS
In these Terms & Conditions:
BBR, we, us or our means BBR Agency Pty Ltd (ABN 93 121 083 805).
Little Chef means the Little Chef children's cooking program presented at Darling Quarter.
Booking means a confirmed reservation for a child to participate in a Little Chef class.
Class means the particular Little Chef cooking session specified in a Booking.
Parent or Guardian means the parent, legal guardian or other person authorised by the parent or legal guardian to accompany and supervise the child.
Venue means North Village Green, Darling Quarter, Sydney, or any other location notified by us for a particular Class.
You or your means the person making the Booking and, where applicable, the Parent or Guardian accompanying the child.
2. THE LITTLE CHEF EXPERIENCE
Little Chef is a free, ticketed, 90-minute children's cooking experience.
The current program operates from 3 October to 11 October 2026 at North Village Green, Darling Quarter.
Each Class includes hands-on cooking, food preparation, demonstrations and other activities appropriate to the relevant age group.
Class content, recipes, ingredients, chefs, retailers, operators and activities may vary between sessions.
Little Chef is delivered by participating Darling Quarter retailers, chefs and/or external operators engaged for the program.
3. AGE CATEGORIES
Little Chef has three age categories:
Mini Chefs: 6–7 years
Junior Chefs: 8–9 years
Rising Chefs: 10–12 years
The child must be booked into the age category corresponding to their age at the time of the Class.
Where a family has children in more than one age category, each child must be booked separately into the Class matching their own age. Children cannot share a place, and cannot take part in a Class outside their own age category.
Age categories are scheduled at different times, so one Parent or Guardian may accompany more than one child on the same day, subject to availability at the time of Booking.
Further guidance for families booking more than one child is set out in the FAQs on the Little Chef website.
We reserve the right to verify a child's age and to refuse participation where a child does not meet the age requirements of the booked Class.
Bookings made in an incorrect age category may be cancelled or transferred to another appropriate session where availability permits.
4. BOOKINGS AND TICKETS
Little Chef is free to attend but a valid Booking is required.
Places are limited and are subject to availability.
A Booking is confirmed only when a booking confirmation or ticket has been issued.
Each Booking relates to the child, Class and session specified in the Booking confirmation.
Tickets may not be sold, resold or used for commercial purposes.
We reserve the right to cancel bookings where we reasonably believe that:
- multiple bookings have been made improperly;
- bookings have been made for resale or commercial purposes;
- false or misleading information has been provided; or
- the booking system has been misused.
5. PARENT OR GUARDIAN ATTENDANCE
Little Chef is not a drop-off program.
A Parent or Guardian must remain onsite for the entire 90-minute Class.
The Parent or Guardian must remain available throughout the Class and is responsible for:
- ensuring the child arrives and departs safely;
- providing appropriate supervision outside the activities directly supervised by the Class operator;
- ensuring the child follows reasonable instructions;
- providing accurate and relevant information about the child; and
- being available to assist or respond if required.
A child will not be permitted to participate without an appropriate Parent or Guardian present.
The Parent or Guardian may wait in the designated Parent's Terrace or other area identified by Little Chef.
6. PARENT'S TERRACE AND LIQUOR LICENSING
The Parent's Terrace is a designated area for Parents and Guardians while their child participates in the Class.
The Parent's Terrace is located within a licensed area.
All applicable liquor licensing requirements and Darling Quarter venue rules apply.
Parents and Guardians must not consume alcohol to an extent that compromises their ability to supervise or respond to their child.
Children participating in Little Chef must not consume alcohol.
7. FOOD, ALLERGIES AND DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Little Chef is a cooking and food preparation experience.
The Booking process asks for information about dietary requirements and allergies.
You must provide accurate and complete information about any known allergy or dietary requirement that may affect the child's participation.
Where reasonably necessary, relevant information may be provided to the chef, retailer, instructor or other person directly responsible for delivering the relevant Class.
While reasonable care will be taken in preparing and delivering the Class, Little Chef does not represent or warrant that the Class or food preparation environment is allergen-free.
Ingredients may be handled in shared preparation areas and participants may be exposed to ingredients or allergens used by other participants.
Parents and Guardians are responsible for determining whether the Class is suitable for their child.
If a child has a serious allergy or dietary requirement, we recommend contacting us before the Class to discuss whether the relevant session is suitable.
8. COOKING ACTIVITIES AND SAFETY
Little Chef involves hands-on cooking and food preparation.
Depending on the Class, children may use or be exposed to:
- cooking equipment;
- kitchen utensils;
- heat and hot surfaces;
- hot food or liquids;
- food preparation equipment;
- ingredients and allergens; and
- other risks ordinarily associated with cooking activities.
Children must follow all reasonable safety instructions given by Little Chef staff, chefs, instructors, operators and venue personnel.
We reserve the right to prevent a child from participating in an activity where we reasonably consider that participation may present a safety risk to the child, another participant or staff member.
9. HEALTH, MEDICAL AND ACCESSIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
You should notify us before the Class if your child has a medical condition, disability, accessibility requirement or other circumstance that may reasonably affect their participation.
We will take reasonable steps to accommodate accessibility requirements where practicable.
Parents and Guardians remain responsible for ensuring that any required medication, medical equipment or other necessary items are available.
Little Chef staff and Class operators are not responsible for providing specialised medical care unless expressly agreed in advance.
In an emergency, Little Chef staff, the relevant operator or Venue personnel may seek appropriate medical assistance for a child where reasonably necessary.
10. CANCELLATIONS AND NO-SHOWS
Because Little Chef is a free event with limited capacity, we ask that you cancel your Booking as soon as you know that your child cannot attend.
This allows the place to potentially be offered to another family.
Cancellation instructions may be provided in your Booking confirmation.
Alternatively, you may email contact@bbr-agency.com.
There is no cancellation fee.
We reserve the right to restrict future bookings where a person repeatedly fails to attend Bookings without reasonable notice.
11. EVENT CHANGES, CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING
We reserve the right to add, withdraw, reschedule or substitute Classes, chefs, retailers, operators, activities, times, locations or other elements of the program where reasonably necessary.
We may cancel or reschedule a Class due to circumstances including:
- severe weather;
- safety concerns;
- venue requirements;
- chef, retailer or operator availability;
- ingredient or equipment availability;
- government requirements;
- public health matters;
- emergency situations;
- infrastructure or utility failures; or
- other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Where reasonably practicable, we will notify affected Bookings using the contact details provided during the booking process.
Where possible, we may offer an alternative session.
As Little Chef is a free event, no monetary refund is payable.
Nothing in this clause limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. LATE ARRIVALS
You should arrive with sufficient time to check in before the scheduled start of the Class.
For safety and operational reasons, late arrival may result in the child being unable to participate in part or all of the Class.
The decision as to whether a late-arriving child can safely join the Class rests with the relevant Class operator.
A Parent or Guardian must remain onsite regardless of the child's arrival time.
13. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY AND BEHAVIOUR
All attendees must comply with reasonable directions from Little Chef staff, Class operators and Venue personnel.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to, or remove from the Class or Venue, any person who:
- behaves aggressively, abusively, threateningly or offensively;
- behaves in a manner that creates a safety risk;
- materially disrupts the Class;
- refuses to follow reasonable safety instructions;
- deliberately damages property;
- is significantly affected by alcohol or drugs; or
- otherwise breaches these Terms & Conditions or applicable Venue requirements.
Where a person is refused entry or removed for these reasons, no monetary compensation is payable in relation to the free Booking, subject to any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
14. VENUE CONDITIONS
Little Chef takes place within the Darling Quarter precinct.
All attendees are required to comply with applicable Darling Quarter rules, conditions of entry, safety requirements and reasonable directions from Venue personnel.
Where a Venue requirement is more restrictive than these Terms & Conditions, the Venue requirement may apply.
15. PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILMING
Photography and media consent is separate from acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
A Parent or Guardian may be asked to provide separate consent for photography, filming or other media involving their child.
Photography consent is optional and is not a condition of Booking or participation.
Where consent has been provided, photographs and other media may be captured during the Class and used for promotional and communications purposes associated with Little Chef and Darling Quarter.

17. LIABILITY
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under applicable law, including the Australian Consumer Law.
Participation in Little Chef involves inherent risks associated with cooking, food preparation, heat, utensils, ingredients and participation in a live event environment.
To the extent permitted by law, you acknowledge responsibility for:
- providing accurate information about the child;

19. PARTICIPANT ITEMS
Where advertised as part of the Little Chef program, participating children may receive Little Chef items including a branded apron, collectable pin and recipe card.
These items are subject to availability and may vary between sessions.
20. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Little Chef branding, logos, designs, website content, class materials, recipes, photographs and other materials produced for the program are owned by, or used with permission by, BBR, Darling Quarter or the relevant rights holder.
You must not reproduce, commercially exploit or use Little Chef branding or materials for commercial purposes without prior permission.
Personal photography is permitted unless otherwise directed by Little Chef, the Class operator or Venue personnel.
Commercial photography, filming or recording requires prior approval.
21. EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL
We will not be liable for failure or delay in performing an obligation where caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
This may include severe weather, natural disasters, fire, flood, emergency situations, government action, public health events, industrial disputes, venue closure, utility failures, infrastructure failures or other circumstances that could not reasonably have been prevented or overcome.
Where such circumstances affect a Class, we may cancel, postpone, reschedule or modify the Class as reasonably necessary.
22. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS & CONDITIONS
We may vary these Terms & Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to the Little Chef program, Venue requirements, booking process or applicable laws.
The Terms & Conditions applicable to a Booking will generally be those published on the Little Chef Website at the time the Booking is made.
Any subsequent variation will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued.
23. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be read down to the extent necessary or, if this is not possible, severed from these Terms & Conditions.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
24. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
You submit to the courts and tribunals of New South Wales and applicable Commonwealth courts in relation to any dispute arising in connection with Little Chef, subject to any mandatory rights available under applicable law.
